Transportation at Polynesian

Hi Everyone! We are making our 3rd trip to WDW December 01-09! We are staying at The Polynesian for the first time! We stayed at All-Star Movies on our last trip and Coronado Springs the time before that. There is so much great information here! I thought maybe you experts could help me out! My hubby and I are traveling with our 4 kiddos, ages 10, 7, 5 and 1, so we will have a stroller. I'm trying to figure which building to request, but I don't know if it's easier to use the monorail station in the GCH and the bus stop or if it's easier/faster to go to the TTC. Any opinions? Thank you!

The Polynesian resort is surprisingly not spread out at all. We stayed in Raratonga (sp?), because I wanted to be near the GCH for the monorail, restaurants and Captain Cook's, but could have picked any of 6 buildings that were also very close! I did like this building though because of its proximity to the GCH, the quiet pool, and the arcade.

We took the monorail to MK from the GCH...very quick and easy. You can also take a ferry/boat to MK. We walked over to the TTC (5 minutes or so) for the Epcot monorail, and took the bus to MGM right at the bus stop. Like I said, the Poly is more compact than it first appears, so everything is pretty easy to get to within just a few minutes. If you end up at a building nearer the TTC, take the buses and monorail from there!

Well, I've stayed in Samoa twice, and I have to say I think it's the best as far as location. It's next to both the Volcano and quiet pools, an easy walk to the GCH and the resorts monorail, a 5 to 10-minute walk to the TTC and the direct EPCOT monorail, and I believe it has just been rehabbed recently.

The only thing that was kind of a hassle from Samoa was doing laundry, which is almost on the eastern edge of the resort.
