Hi, my family and I are pretty sure that we are going to stay at POFQ this summer, in middle of June. My one question is how is the bus transportation to the theme parks and waterparks. I know they share a bus with POR, so is it crowded by the time they get to FQ, due to all the buss stops at POR? We have stayed at both, but it has been a while and we are just curious. If it is a crowd issue for bus transportation we are willing to look into staying at POR, do you think it would be neccessary?:confused3 Any advice/help would be wonderful! Thank you!:goodvibes

My family has stayed at POFQ several times and we have always experienced first on and "most" of the times first off so although the stop itself can be rather crowded with waiting guests from POFQ, the bus arrives empty. Now, if you leave a park at closing, then all bus stops are packed and so are the busses. One of the reasons we stay at POFQ is because of being the "first on" stop before picking up at POR the other is because of the size of the resort. It is still one of our favorites! Have fun!

Yes, the only bus that routinely goes thru PORS before POFQ is the DTD bus.

I have stayed at POFQ 3 times now, and have found the bus service to be great. POFQ only shares a bus with POR during very slow times of the year, or sometimes in the middle of the day when not too many people are going to and from the parks. And when they share, POFQ is usually the first stop.

I agree with a previous poster, don't use the bus for DTD, use the boat service. Much nicer.:thumbsup2 From any resort the busses to/from DTD seem to be a bit of a nightmare. Stay away from them if you can.

Our upcoming trip will be our third stay at POFQ. Never had an issue with bus service. Just as previous posters stated, take the boat to DTD. Enjoy your trip.

We got stuck standing a few times. Makes the bus ride seem longer. We did have to wait for a second bus once at park closing but we were there at during peak season. Beautiful area though, I would stay there again.

Agreed. We stayed just the past October at the FQ and if you leave to go to the parks in the morning when everyone else is going, then you go straight to the parks. We only got stuck going around the whole POR a couple times but that was because we left in the middle of the day. And in fact, the busses and size of the resort are the reason we chose to stay at POFQ as opposed to the POR!

We went in August 3 years ago. Things could have changed, of course, but bus service was so bad that trip that we have always rented a car since. They do not run the boats if there is lighting. There was frequently lightening through our trip. I remember riding from DTD, obviously pregnant, holding a sleeping toddler while standing up. No thanks! Not interested in doing that again. As you can see, some people love the buses. I prefer a car.
