transportation and ticket upgrade question

We will be staying on site at Disney for our upcoming trip, and will not be renting a car. I consulted the sticky, but did not see this option listed...

It would appear that a 1 day 2 park ticket plus transportation is the same price as just the ticket itself would be. Am I reading this correctly?

Also, does anyone know if this ticket could be upgraded later? If we decide that we need an extra day? Or perhaps I can choose to spring for an annual pass?

You're reading it correctly. Check park hours for the time of your trip. You may not have time to visit both parks. You can get a one day/one park ticket for a little over $80 but without transportation.

I don't know if you can upgrade the ticket nor do I know how much of the ticket price would be applied to a possible ticket upgrade.

Check the thread in this forum. You can get a 7 (maybe even 14 day) ticket for under $130. The ticket expires 7 (or 14) days after you first use. Transportation isn't included but it may be a better deal for some guests.

You can upgrade the tickets at either park on an AP. You would pay the difference between the value of the tickets and the AP cost of $229.00 plus tax. Just upgrade before leaving the park on the first first day.
