I have been elected to work out transportation for my father and a friend from the Orlando airport to WDW, from WDW to Port Canaveral for a cruise and then back to Orlando airport. I have been reading posts and info on Mears, FlTours, etc., and haven't got a grasp on how to put this together. I have always either driven or flown and rented a car in Orlando so I don't know much about these companies. Can anyone advise me the best way and suggested transport companies for working out this transportation. My father is 79 years old, I want to make this process as easy as possible. Any help appreciated.

hi - we've done this a couple of times - doing it different ways -

the first thing you have to check is if he's doing this all on the cruise package - if he is - then all you have to do is book him on the cruise bus - they'll take his luggage off the plane & place it in his room at the resort - etc. - it may seem as if it's expensive - but this convienence is worth it - they meet you at the airport - walk you through the system - it's great

but you have to check if it's a cruise day - we sometimes (like this trip) on a day when it's not a cruise day (we're leaving friday for a cruise trip - giving us an extra couple of days in wdw) - but anyway - if it's not a cruise day - then the cruise buses don't give you the extra perks - so what we do for this type of trip is get car service to the hotel - and then use disney cruise for the trip from the hotel to the cruise - i'll have to check on this - but i think that they may even take our luggage out of the room and bring straight to the ship -

i normally like to make the most economical plans - but i also consider that the ease of moving w/kids, parents, grandparents, and other extended family thru the disney travel system gives me a benefit that worth the money - and it's not that expensive - only a couple of dollars more -

good luck -
