me and my friend are off on our big trip next tuesday :wizard:

We were wondering about transport to the other parks, we are staying on disney (all stars music).

We looked at Mears shuttles ... does anyone know about average pricing per person from disney to universal or seaworld?

Are there any other options we can consider? Im wheelchair bound so any other options need to be accessible although from what I've read most things are in Florida which sounds great a big improvement from my experience at home in the UK!!

This would be a great help if anyone knows :thumbsup2

thanks in advance

Fingers crossed, this page from the Mears website should give you the prices. Looks as it WDW is Zone 4, so to Seaworld or Universal it's $19 each per round trip on their shuttle.

Take the Lynx 50 from the TTC or Downtown Disney direct to Sea World for $2 each way.

To get to Universal, take the Lynx 50 and ask for a transfer (free) when you get on. At Sea World, catch the Lynx 8 up to Wet 'n' Wild. Universal is a 10 minute walk. It's still $2. Or, get a cab from Wet 'n' Wild for $5.

I assume the buses are wheelchair accessible.

my advice is to get a cab.
we looked at all the other options and found the cab was a time and money saving way. we stayed at The Contemporary Resort and it cost about $40 to Universal and $35 to Seaworld (tips not included). Thats for the journey not each-it may be a bit cheaper from allstars ;)
we asked concierge and they sent us to the valet desk at our resort. they booked them for us-(we did book the day before we needed them) just remember to ask for a wheelchair acessible vehicle. :thumbsup2
For the return journey at Universal we stayed the night there, so got them to book the cab for us. However when we went to seaworld we just asked the driver if he'd pick us up at a certain time. All cab drivers we used gave us their card and said just call them when needed. :goodvibes
we have used the mears shuttle in the past but at about $19 each and then you have to stop at loads of other hotels (taking valuable time out of the holiday-over an hour) Its not for us! The cab ride was under 30 mins. We looked into getting the bus too but have heard it takes ages too and not every bus is accessible

Have fun any questions just ask :goodvibes

The bus doesn't stop on the I-4 so it will take the same amount of time as the cab getting you to Sea World. It will take marginally longer to get to Universal, plus the time of a connection which can be anything from 1 minute to 15 depending on which buses come by.

All Lynx buses are wheelchair accessible.

All Lynx buses are wheelchair accessible.

:confused3

To the OP-
you also need to take into account the time you spend the time getting your wheelchair harnessed and unharnessed on both buses plus the time to get to the TTC or downtown to begin with. this can easily add an extra 45 mins to your journey. You may decide the extra few dollars saving is worth an extra hour or so out of your day for travelling.
have fun whatever you decide, im sure youll have a great time.xx :goodvibes

I think the bus to Seaworld (lynx 50) is perfect, its cheap and quick and should be no problem in a wheel chair. (I base this on the fact my sister is disabled and in a wheel chair and know that it would not be a problem) As for Universal this in my opinion is not so easy for a wheel chair user as you will be changing buses and if you do get off at wet and wild, its a tad more then 10 mins walk and you have to go up a hill. If you do another route to Universal it takes ages. Then remember you do have to do it all in reverse!!!! I would def catch the mears transfer from your resort for universal/iow.

thanks for all your replies they have really helped :yay:

i think we will take the bus from downtown disney to seaworld and then ask at hotel reception to book cabs for our universal days :)

is there a bus from downtown disney to busch gardens too? If not where can we get a bus to busch gardens? :confused3

thanks for everyones help  im so excited about going now

no there isn't a bus from disney to Busch Gardens but you can get one from Seaworld. I think it is free if you have bought one of the multi day tickets for Seaworld/Busch/Aquatica but think you have to pay otherwise. Have a look at the Seaworld Web site or somebody will tell you for sure on here.:thumbsup2

We have come back from all star sports today.
We got cabs to seaworld and Universal
They always have a yellow cab and yellow van at ALLstars on standby, just go to the entrance, and one of the bellboy/girls, will call one over, we never had to wait
As of last week

to Seaworld usd 23
to Universal usd 36
to Prime outlets usd 21

We thought about getting various buses etc and going to downtown, but it
was so hot, that getting straight into an aircon cab, and feeling non stressed
before a day at the park, was worth the cost

Thanks Dave id thought theyd be a lot closer from the Allstars resort as its closer. :thumbsup2
Thats why we decided to go with cabs too, less stress and aircon.

OP-I forgot to ask can you transfer to the seat in the cab and does your wheelchair collapse? If so you won probably wont need to go to the trouble of booking as cabs are usually at the hotels/parks. They should be able to put your chair in the trunk.:rotfl: If you need to remain in your chair then youd need to pre-book the wheelchair acessible cab.
not long to go now-have a brilliant time. :cool1:

yep, free with multi day Sea World tickets, $10 each without. You can catch it from Sea World or Universal, took about an hour to get to Busch Gardens.

We have used the MEars shuttle and cabs. As others have said shuttle is $18 each (looks like it has gone up to $19 based on other posts). The shuttle is fine if time not critical; they have a schedule of types a run about every hour (so one of the drivers told us) and ask you to call them a couple of hours before you want to return so they can make sure enough vans are dispatched. park closing is busy so they often wait for all vans to arrive before anyone is loaded. we would use this service again.

However if time is important, and if it is very hot, a cab is better; cost us about $45 from AKV to universal.

We have also used the Mears caoch to Busch gardens, gets to Bg about 10.30 as it is likely to make several orlando stops to pick up. It was free with a Discovery cover multi park ticket.
