Transport question

Hi,
We are staying in the AKL on a non driving holiday. Is it feasible to
travel to the Kennedy Space Centre for the day using public transport. Are
there special coaches etc that leave and return from specified locations.
And same question for Busch Gardens.

I don't know of any shuttles to the Space Center. You can take a Lynx bus (Orlando's public transit system) from the TTC to SeaWorld. Going to Universal is a little tougher...I wouldn't try it on the Lynx system. I believe there is a fair amount of transferring. Mears does offer shuttles from the WDW resorts to the other Orlando attractions. You could try to rent a car for the day to go to Kennedy Space Center.

Mears used to offer a shuttle from WDW to KSC, not sure if they still do, and if there are more than two going renting a car will be a lot less $$.

The most cost effective way to get to those places is to rent a car. Taxis would cost too much and the bus transportation is rather slow.

Not sure. but KSC is about an hour away, and Busch Gardens is an hour to an hour and a half. Not sure a taxi is going to be cost effective!!

Check the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens websites. There MAY be a bus from the former to the latter for $5 per person; don't know if that's one way or round trip. Or, as suggested above, check with Mears. But a taxi for a sixty or so mile trip each way? Uh uh.

I've never used them, so I have no first hand experience.

If anyone has tried them, I would love your opinions. - I use a wheelchair, and renting an adapted 'drive from wheelchair' van is very, very expensive - so renting a car is not an option for me.
