Hi,

My family (wife and 14 yo daughter) and I are visiting DLP in April. We are seasoned veterans of WDW, but have no idea what we are in for in DLP. I am trying to decide about travel back and forth to DLP and would love some suggestions or recommendations. We are staying at a hotel near CDG and can therefore travel back and forth to the park from the hotel or from the airport (if need be).

We are also avid pin traders, getting more than our fill from WDW (in the parks, from the cast members, and Downtown).

Q: How much pin trading goes on at DLP (e.g., are there special locations, surprise pin releases, etc)?

Q: Do guests trade at any particular places or locations?

Q: In your opinion, would one want to bring ordinary "traders", or special pins to trade?

Thanks for your thoughts!!!!

Joe

try www.vea.fr/uk
u can use the buses to go back and forth to a particular hotel in DLP
or the other method is the metro links that go direct into DLP with the station close by to the parks

Hi there ..
if you do have a rental car available i would recommend using it to go to the park from the CDG area, takes around 20 minutes by car but probably 90 minutes with the vea bus from the airport ( with all terminal and Disney stops ) and you can come and go whenever you want ! If you need exact driving directions please send a PM !!! Great instructions are on www.dlp-guide.com !!!

I do lots of pintrading at WDW and Paris ( i do live in munich / germany) and you will not be overly exited with the pins on the CM lanyards over there . If you do like the Paris pins ( LE and rack pins ) you will have no problem at all trading for them with your US pins. People do meet to trade in front of Gibson Girls Ice cream parlour ( opposite to casey`s corner ) at the end of main street on weekends great trading going on there !!! sometimes in the evenings at DTD, too. Tinker Bell, Stitch and Villains seem to be very popular !!!! ;-)
Special pins are needed in case you want any of the Paris train pins or the LE 400 stitch or Tink pins or the champion pins ....

What are your travel dates ??? Will be in Paris from the 23rd to the 25th of April and would love to meet if possible !
And in case we can meet bring your lanyard series pins please :-)))

Hi

In my opinion it would be too costly to rely on using the VEA Shuttle bus from CDG-DLP each day. I would consider alternate options, like Disneydavey recommended - perhaps the metro/train?

Richard. :)

Duhhhhh...You would think my brain would work better than that.

We are thinking of doing DLP while staying in Paris. Is the a metro station very close to DLP? Train? Bus?

Last time I was in Paris I was 17 and I turned 32 2 days ago so I need to read a lot of info.

We are planning on 1 week to tour the country a little and one week in Paris and surroundings (Loire Castle and Palais de Versailles) and 2 days DLP...Is this enough to get a good look and make my DH's first trip to France good?

Disneyland Paris has its 'own' rail station - just minutes walk from the parks and hotels!

There is also a shuttle service (The VEA Navette) from CDG Airport to DLP - making stops at all of the onsite resorts and the DLP park itself.

2 days should be about enough time at DLP. I would spend a day and a half in The Disneyland Park and half a day at the studios.

Richard. :)

Here's a picture of the TGV trainstation. You can see the Disneyland Hotel (which is also the entry for the Disneyland Park) on the background...
