transport from ship to Disney World

We are first time cruisers and are following up our cruise with a few days at Disney World, we are staying at OKW. What is the best way to get from the ship to Disney?

Could do A one Way Rental.. there Are Several Drop Off spots Right On Hotel Plaza Blvd. Then U Can Walk Over To Downtown Disney And Catch bus Back To OKW.. Easy To do...

We Did It In Oct.


Went Like This Got Off Ship Took AVIS shuttle to rental Place one person Got Vehicle Came Back to The port Got Rest Of People
Drove To WDW Checked in At Resort Drove over To The Hotel Just Outside Of Downtown Disney ... and then the Rental place Gave us a Ride Back to The Resort...

Hope This Helps It also Depends on The Number of people traveling Sometimes it is Just Easier To Take The Disney Bus To The Resort of your Choice... not less expensive but easier...

And Tickets For The bus can Be purchased while on The ship...

I am wondering how long it took to go get the rental car. We are cruising the 12/4 magic and will be getting back on the 11th. We are going straight to some MouseFest meets early in the morning, so I'm trying to find the fastest way there. I was going to use a towncar service, but maybe renting a car would be better, then I could keep it for a few days at Mousefest.

Was the Avis place far from the terminal??

Dennis, we just rented the car 2 weeks ago. We waited forever to get the AVIS shuttle but once we were picked up it went very fast. We probably had the car in 10 minutes time.

We have done it all different ways from the Disney's transfers, towncar service and car rentals. It is soooo easy to drive that we enjoy renting now.

One more thing, Budget was picking up its passengers MUCH faster. Don't know if that is always the case but it was on the 30th. They might be faster. We have rented AVIS before and never waited. Maybe just a bad day at Avis, who knows!
