hi folks...help really needed here. will be in orlando 12/8-12/18 and am trying to get an affordable rate for transportation while we are at vwl as a family of 5. problem is we will be a group of 6 from 12/08-12/11 as my mom is coming for th first 4 days. the minivan rate for 11 days is astronomical even with codes etc. how can we work this so we can have seating for all of us for the first part of the trip without breaking the bank for the whole 11 days? i am stumped am am open to suggestions. we cant just rent a full size car as they wont guarantee seating for 6 which is what we need for the first few days. help!!! thx a bunch!

Well, why don't you rent a minivan from 12/08-11 from National, return it to the National Car Care Center and swap it for a full size for the remainder of your trip.

Check the National Web site. See if they are still letting you register for Emerald Aisle service on thier website. We were able to get a full size car at 3:30 PM the first week of August this summer. The car could have fit 6 people and we could have gotten a Cadillac if we wanted it. Do you think you could squeeze your family in the car for the 30 to 45 minute drive to the hotel? I don't think I would want to have to waste money on a too large rental for such a short time. Then take Disney's transprotation to the parks while you have 6 people. Maybe your additional family member wouldn't mind taking the Mears shuttle to and from the airport. Good Luck. Family is usually a blessing except when they are a pain. Hee Hee
