Transplanted wild roses not doing well

We had some wild rose bushes transplanted, moved about 5 feet away from where they were and they are not doing well. We watered them well over several days, gave them some rose food and the leaves are all turning yellow and droopy. Is there anything we can do to revive them or are they lost?

Just keep watering. Don't feed them. Stimulating growth after the roots have been traumatized will overstress them. They will come back next year just fine, roses are really tough.

I lost 2 Star roses last year when I moved them I think it was too late into the season. Wild ones should be hardier. I'd cut it back and keep it well watered.

Shoud I trim them back all the way, cutting off all the leaves? I know basically nothing about gardening.

I would cut back the dead ends at most 1/3. Keep the base well watered but not soggy. Watering the area around the plant works for me. Mulch the area with loose top soil & peat moss. Don't wet the leaves, that can lead to disease.
It may just be in shock and with TLC bounce back
