Hi... thinking of flying transmerridian from Harrisburg into Sanford... it is a straight through flight...i do not know anything about this airline...can anyone give me any info ....I usually use US air ...it is not straight through....thanks..amy

The only thing I know about Transmeridian is that their flights are considered "public charters". Therefore, if your flight is delayed/canceled due to weather or mechanical, they don't have the option to put you on another airline. They will get you to your destination eventually, but it will be at their convenience, and they may or may not pay for a hotel for you.

Thanks...I am not sure what to do...they have flown out of harrisburg for about a year now...straight through sounds so nice...thanks..amy

We flew out of Syracuse,NY to Sanford,FL on a direct flight this past March. No problems with the flight down, service was great. They do serve you a meal in flight along with a beverage. Flight attendants were excellent. Gave my kids each a coloring book w/crayons and a pin w/wings.

Return flight they had a mechanical problem w/plane and eventually decided to ground it. They did let us know they were searching for another plane & gave us food voucher for dinner in the airport. They did get another plane for us after a 4hr delay. No problems after that. Also sent an apology letter in mail w/$40 vouchers for each person good towards our next trip!

I would definately fly TMA again (and hope to go to Disney again real soon!!). The direct flight was worth every cent with my two small kids.

thanks...I think I will try them in the future....sounds like they go out of their way to please the customer...amy:wave2:

My wife and I are flying TMA out of Harrisburg on December 23rd to WDW. We wanted to leave the evening before, but there are currently no flights on Wednesday. Cost for that day is $300 round trip, including all fees, taxes etc. Billboards in the area (you may have seen the advertisement0 is $79 one-way, but you can't read the fine print without stopping the car, so I assume that price doesn't include the extra fees. We'll post about our experience when we return. I'd like to have flown a better known carrier, but the price and direct flight enticed us.
