transferring to ucf after program?

I'm thinking of transferring to UCF after the fall program. Has anyone else done this or thought of doing this? Would I still pay out of state tuition?

My daughter did it and yes you would still pay out of state tuition. The in state tuition policies are very stringent and very hard to work around and by that I mean if you are from out of state and want to go to a FL school it's quite the process to become a resident for TUITION purposes.

My daughter graduated from there -- it is such an awesome campus and so pretty.

Not jessiack but my daughter was in attractions management and had some of the most amazing teachers including Ron Logan the former VP of entertainment for Disney. She also had a manager from Universal as a teacher as well as others in the hospitality field. She learned some really cool things in her classes. One of her field trips was to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal, to some of the nicer Golf and Country Clubs, and more. Books are the same price as all college books.

There is apartment like housing on the opposite side of the Rosen Parking lot and she lived there while going to Rosen.

I love my classes there! I have really enjoyed my time there and my friends there feel the same way. That being said, I can hardly wait to graduate and move on with my life, and I think my degree will help me get to where I need to go but I'm not yet sure. I'm taking timeshare mgmt., tourism mgmt., and the event industry right now. You'd probably be interested in all of it. There are a couple accounting classes but other than that I would say the classes are really engaging for "people persons". Most of the classes I have taken are not challenging. You also have to do three semester-long paid internships. I have had trouble getting my job approved as a hospitality related internship, but any restaurant, hotel, or theme park is fine. They call UCF "U Can't Finish", & my advice if you're going to transfer there is to go in with a plan, otherwise it will take you way longer than you expected to graduate and it will end up costing you more money. My rule for myself is to never take under 15-17 credits per semester. I'm taking Professor Logan's theme park class in the spring. The books are painfully pricy and change constantly but I think that's standard for big universities like UCF...plus if you're lucky your teachers won't require books. I am majoring in Hospitality Management and in my opinion it's the most marketable unless you want to go into restaurants. There is also a theme park specialized track you can take if you major in hospitality! I stayed in the dorms for a semester but cancelled the next semester. I was put on the freshman floor and the atmosphere just didn't jive with me lol... Rosen dorms were truly SO nice compared to other college dorms. They're expensive and whether or not you enjoy it depends on what kind of person you are and how many years you've been going to college. I'll admit it was super convenient to be able to walk to every class in less than 5 minutes. And as far as hands on training, I've had three awesome guest speakers so far. One of my teachers from last semester still keeps in contact with us and emails us job/intern opportunities! Another teacher operates a Disney hotel. And a perk of dorms is going on behind the scenes tours. I think we did SeaWorld and Nickelodeon Suites last semester. And one day a year we have Universal Knights, where they give out tickets to all the UCF students to go to Universal (the park is shut down one night for UCF students)! Hope this helps

Hi Traveliz! How long ago did your daughter go to Rosen for Attractions Management -- if you don't mind me asking? I'm wondering if they used to offer it, or if they still have it and I missed it. I only got to choose from Hospitality Management, Event Planning, and Restaurant Management. If Attractions was an option I definitely would have gone for that!

She graduated in the summer of 2011 and her degree is hospitality management with the emphasis of theme park and attraction management.
