I just want to confirm my understanding of the rule is accurate before I proceed with assigning a ticket in MDE.... As long as a ticket is unused it CAN be transferred to another person in your MDE account at any time.... Right??

Yes. You can reassign the ticket entitlement.

If you are linking a hard, plastic ticket to someone in MDE, you can reassign the entitlement (the digital info) to Person #2 but the plastic ticket remains with Person #1. Person #2 then needs a MB to enter the park and FP line with the "digital" entitlement.

No real ticket. Just the voucher w/ confirmation number you add to MDE. I've got a person in our travel party that may/may not be able to go. Was hesitant to add to their name in my MDE but I will go ahead now. I can always transfer it to a family member later if it comes to that. Thanks for the quick reply!

This is another transferring question. I thought I had it straight in my mind but now I'm thinking I got it mixed up somehow.
If you purchase a package that includes a ticket can you move the ticket (as long as it's unused) to another person. Seems as though I remember you can do this only after you check in or activate, the ticket.
I could have sworn I'd see the advice to do that if you have an AP and want to purchase a free dining package. You can save the tickets for AP renewal. You'd have to either have the AP prioritized or move the ticket to a dummy person after check in. Or another choice I thought you had was to have the ticket moved to a plastic ticket media and save that for AP renewal.
Am I remembering wrong?

As soon as your package is activated, reassign the package tickets to someone else or a Ticket Saver person in MDE.

You can still use the ticket to go towards your AP renewal. They'll just pull it off of your MDE when you do the upgrade.

Thanks. I am mostly glad I wasn't totally loosing my memory here.

A package ticket will show as "non transferable" until check in day when it's activated. As long as it's unused you can reassign it once it becomes active.

We've transferred unused package tickets back and forth a few times so we could make FP+ with those before picking up special park tickets that could not be added ahead and had to be picked up on site, then transferred the unused tickets back to another family member not on the current trip once those special tickets were added to MDE. The tickets we switch back and forth are short ones from FD that we save for weekend trips, just using another family member as a placeholder.

Is this the reason I can not load the partial used non expiry ticket to our My Disney Experience. Does Disney need to confirm that the ticket is assigned to the proper person. Might need to get new tickets to book FP and use the tickets for our next trip.

If your non-expiry tickets are old (before 2007) and without the RFID chip, you should exchange them for the new plastic tickets.

Yes paper tickets no RFID chip. Date on back of ticket 02/02/06. Just trying to figure if they can be added to the account in order to book FP+

If you've tried adding the #s and the system doesn't accept them, you'll have to exchange them in order to link them.

I think some DISboarders have had success with getting these older ones linked over the phone.
Problem with exchanging them in person is that you can't make FP reservations in advance of your trip.

I also think some have been successful. I just hesitated telling her to call if indeed her tickets, that were issued prior to 2007, wouldn't be able to be linked.
