Transferring SWA RR points?

I have gifted points before with my credit card, but I'm trying to transer points for the first time and it's asking me to pay for them? I thought transferring points would be simply taking them from one account and moving them from another. No? Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

You have to pay to move RR points from one account to another.

I believe most airlines charge a fee to transfer miles (points). I have the Hawaiian airlines credit card thru BOA and they allow sharing or pooling miles between family and friends(no fee) as long as they have the credit card as well.
Hawaiian partners with Delta, American and Jet Blue so it works well for my husband & I. Having that "perk" to transfer for free was one of the main reasons we signed up for the card.

Yes, on most airlines you pay to transfer points/miles and there is usually a limit on the amount you can transfer per year. You should go to Southwest's website and read the rules for the RR program.
