Transferring reservation (Concierge) to TA

Hi! We just booked Radiance to Alaska for 2015.
We have always used DU for our Disney cruises, but booked this one straight with RCI, mostly because it was easier to call directly while booking a two bedroom suite. I know we have 60 days to transfer to a travel agent, but here is my real question...

The concierge has already contacted us at least twice during the first couple weeks, and it has been darn nice to a have that contact. If we transfer the reservation to DU, will we still be able to work with the concierge? The onboard credit would be nice, but so is this perk.

Hi! You can still use the concierge even though you transfer it over to Dreams! The concierge service is a great service from Royal and is available to anyone who books a concierge level room, no matter how they're booked.

What is the advantage of transferring it to a TA? We do that for our DCL cruises for the OBC but I did not see that was available for RCL. We recently booked our first RCL and now I'm wondering if we should transfer ours. Thanks!

We booked our 2015 RCI cruise through Costco Travel and will be getting a $425 OBC. You can transfer to Costco and still get the same OBC. Of course this makes the most sense if you're already a Costco member, but I know a couple of people who joined Costco just for this benefit.

Dreams also offers a shipboard credit for transferring your Royal Caribbean cruise. Plus you'll get the extra benefit of having a TA that can help answer your questions because we've been there, done that. Another reason would be for, heaven forbid, help in case of an issue while on your cruise. Working with a TA gives you an advocate in your corner and not just you vs. the cruise line.
