Transferring points...

I have a Feb UY at SSR and have 68 extra points in my 2008 UY that I'm considering offering for transfer. I've never done this before and have a few basic questions...

1. How do you actually transfer the points? Can it be done online or do you have to call MS?
2. What information do you need to provide to MS to complete the transfer?
3. Is there an average or common Price-per-point that is usually charged?

As a follow up...

I noticed some posts stating it's not permitted to transfer points for money??? Is this spelled out in the contract somewhere? Seems odd. I know that commercial renting isn't allowed, but I wasn't aware of issues with occassional renting/transfers. We pay for the points, and we pay annual maintenance fees, it would seem reasonable to receive compensation for renting/transferring points.

The DVC rules state:

Members are prohibited from receiving compensation for engaging in any transferring of vacation points.

Exactly. I'd much rather transfer my points to a fellow DVC member than rent them to a non-member. Less hassle.
