Transferring Points

Can someone please explain the process of transferring points from our DVC account to another DVC member's account? Are there restrictions on use year? Can you borrow within your account and transfer to another DVC member in a different use year?

Our month is December and we are technically 1 year "behind" everyone else, i.s. we are currently in use year 2005.

You cannot borrow points to transfer - points may be borrowed only to make a reservation. Once borrowed, points cannot be transferred (or banked).

You can transfer points from your 2005 Use Year into someone else's 2005 Use Year and may transfer your 2006 UY points into another member's 2006 UY. Points may be transferred without regard to Use Year.

At this moment, only those with February, March and April Use Years are in their 2006 UY. Everyone else is still in their 2005 UY - so you are not "behind" at all. Remember that Use Year has nothing to do with when you may make a reservation - it's merely when your points are renewed each year.

Transfers may be in only one direction each Use Year. If you transfer points to another member now, you could not receive any yourself until after December 1.
