Transferring points

Can someone explain how transferring points works? I'm a member looking to build some points for a trip in December of this year. I see a lot of posts about transferring points, but I'm not sure how that works within the DVC.

This is usually done with a conference call to MS. Disney will not get involved in any arrangements between the parties. They will just ask for both membership numbers and make the transfer over the phone.

Are there any restrictions from DVC? If I arrange to transfer points on this board from another member, and we speak to MS together, they just proces it, no qustions asked?
