Transferring points to a family member who is also a DVC member

Hi Everyone!

I apologize in advance if this question has been answered already.

After a LONG 4years, my family and I are finally going back to WDW in May 2023. I have 125 points I would like to transfer to my sister (who is also a DVC member) for the last 2 days of our stay. My use year is October, and my home resort is SSR. My sister's use year is February and her home resort is Copper Creek. My question is: If I transfer 125 points to her, so she can make a ressie now at Copper Creek for May 31 & June 1, seeing she is booking at her home resort? Or, do we have to wait until MY use year opens Oct 31st?

Transferred points keep home resort priority, so you can't combine them until the 7 month mark.

Just to confirm, you will need to transfer Oct 2022 UY points to her and not your 2023 UY points, since those would need to be borrowed to be used in May 2023 and transferred points can not be borrowed.

A May 2023 trip is in your 2022 UY but your sister’s 2023 UY and thus the reason you have to send 2022 UY points to her.

As already mentioned, those SSR points can not be used to add days until 7 months out as a points home resort never changes.
