Transferring Points...? about use year

If I transfer points out to someone and my use year is February, do the points take on their use year or keep my use year?

I know we only get one transfer a year and that even tho the point are supposed to keep the same resort sttus that they often don't.

But I don't think I ever read anything about what happens re use year.

Transfered points retain their original UY and home resort status. This can sometimes make transferring difficult and confusing for the MS Advisers.
