Transferring luggage from one WDW resort to another -- do the resorts still do this?

We're splitting our stay between the AKL and umm, we're not sure yet, although we're booked for the AS Movies (we want to see if any codes or AP rates pop up for the second half of our trip). Anyway -- do the resorts still transfer your luggage for you if you are switching hotels mid-stay, going from one WDW world resort to another WDW resort? Boy, that would be really nice and open up a lot of time for touring DTD for us.

Yes, they do. We just did it in October from the ASMusic to AKL to the BC. At ASMusic, we notified Guest services the night before and left our bags in the room as we headed off to the parks (we placed the under the handle of one of the suitcases so housekeeping didn't accidently pick it up). At AKL, the bell hop came and got them at our room and walked with us down to the lobby. We had no problems with the service and the bags were ready to go as we check into each new resort!

Have fun! You'll love the AKL if you haven't been there before!

Thank you so much, Jill (or Tim). That will really take a lot of the stress out of moving mid stay.

We've never stayed at the AKL before. We all love animals and nature, so we're excited to be staying there for the first 4 nights of our trip. Hopefully we can fit in a Sunrise Safari too!
