Transferring from one resort to another

I have a question about transferring between resorts - hope this is the correct forum.

We're having a difficult time finding a flight that gets us into Orlando before 3PM the afternoon we arrive. We will have tickets for this day so we would really like to do one park that day. Given it's a travel day we will take it easy but would like to get at least a bit of time in a park since we only have 5 night stay.

My question is this -- maybe we will fly into Orlando the day before and just use it as a travel day with no parks. We have 5 nights scheduled at OKW and an extra night (saturday) would be pretty expensive. If we decided to stay in a value resort, how does it work the next day as far as transferring our luggage and stuff ? Does Disney transfer you luggage for you and what would be involved on our end ?

Disney will transfer your luggage for you. You usually have to wait until after 3 or 4 to get your new luggage. Drop your luggage off at bell services and they will tag it for OKW. Have fun in the parks. When you check in at OKW see if your luggage is there. If so, have it delievered (tip the guy). It not, it will arrive soon and bell services will call and tell you.
