If you booked onboard and then transferred your reservation to a TA, what has been your experience. I have given up on Dana at Midcam but I am thinking of DU. Thanks in advance.

Transferred my last onboard booking to DU and it was flawless.

Planning on doing the same thing again next Feb.

I'm sorry to say that my experience with DU has not been good. It was good initially, but now I have to send an email question 2-3 times to get one response. During one email exchange when my fare had increased since my quote, the agent's response was, "Don’t worry about it." That would have been fine if DU was covering the difference. :rolleyes2

I'll use my regular agent from now on.

We transferred our ressie we booked on board to AAA with no problems. We just needed to call DCL to tell them the name of our TA so when she called them, they knew it would be okay to transfer it. We were able to keep all DCL on board booking incentives and get another $150 stateroom credit. AAA worked out best for us price-wise this time, but our past two and another future cruise were booked through DU. I have had no problems what so ever with them, and I have always had relatively quick replies to emails and questions. Email is not my favorite way to communicate when I want "immediate gratification" with an answer, but DU has never kept me waiting long. But AAA and DU are probably the only agencies I'll book with.

I have booked three cruises prior and each time used DCL. For our upcoming Thanksgiving 7-day cruise I booked onboard and moved the reservation to AllSeasTravel.

When I spoke with the TA he told me he would take an additional $100 off and that I would still retain my onboard credit.

That is the last I heard from my TA and I don't suspect that will change. I am still shaking my head trying to figure out what was I thinking when I moved the reservation.

The $100 was a "drop in the bucket" and not worth my time. I won't make that mistake again. I am actually kind of mad since I can't speak directly to DCL in regards to my upcoming cruise.

I have booked 3 times direct with DCL and then transferred to Dreams. Each of the transfers were smooth and flawless. Dreams has always gotten back to me quickly and efficiently.

I've booked on board and moved the res to Costco without a problem.

I have transferred one to Costco and one to cruise.com and each time it was completely painless and all stayed the same. Try cruisequick.com also. They have some great prices too.
