transferring a reservation to someone else

Can I transfer a reservation to someone else if I won't be going? I don't mind that it is still my credit card holding the reservation, I just don't want them to be turned away if I'm not there.

It looks like the answer is no. So if I can't transfer it, can they use the reservation if I'm not there? Can they just say my name and get the table or will they need anything else of mine (like ID or magic band or something)?

unless something has changed I would just have one say the rssie is your name. they do not check ids

If the reservation is somewhere like California Grill and they are going to try to park at the Contemporary that could run into problems otherwise I think they'd be okay with your name. Are you connected in MDE? You could add them as a guest to the reservation so they'd be on it as well as you.

it should be fine for them to give your name. I have never had anyone want proof or anything other than me saying the name on the reservation (granted it is always me but they never checked or anything lol)

I skipped a meal once and my sister just checked in as me. No one questioned it.

Just add their name to your reservation so they are listed in case they need to park there. Otherwise, they could just give your name at the podium. It's not a problem.

I’ve done the same thing- someone else said they were me- no issues. This was a few years ago tho.

If you make an ADR for 6 people and only 5 show up, no one is going to care. One of the 5 people should say they have a reservation for the name of the person who made it when they show-up at the podium to check in. I have never seen Disney ask for any form of ID and doubt they care who all you are unless no one shows and then you will be charged a 'no show' fee.
