Today on the Disney Web Site there is availability for the Wonder leaving next Sunday May 15. This just poped up today and I feel the ship is near full. I usually save money with costco travel but they are closed today. If I book with DCL can I transfer it to costco tomorrow or is there a time limit you have to transfer to a different travel agent. Also if I book today and can transfer if there is a price difference would the money be credited back to my credit card or could it be used for onboard credit

I've never had a problem with transferring a reservation--it only takes a few minutes on the phone. I'm not sure what they will do with the price difference.

There is no difficulty in making a short notice reservation--you will just pick up your documents at the port.

But you generally can not transfer a reservation paid in full and if you are sailing next week it would likely have to be paid immediately. Try www.cruisequick.com They should take 12.5% off the price which is more than Costco takes off the price. They can book it for you immediately.

Cruisequick doesn't always take that much off. I've used them before and it was basically 10%. I just booked a cruise today and decided to go with DU. Cruisequick was $90 cheaper than DU, but we decided to book with DU since we like using them (and their cancellation policy is better...cruisequick "may" charge $50). Since my cruise is so far away, anything could happen. I only saved 5% this time around. :(

To the original poster: I once booked a DCL cruise 5 days before sailing (and paid dearly for it lol)...I booked with DCL and was able to transfer it to my TA right away.

I have checked several sites including cruisequick. DCL is the only site showing availabitity. Who knows maybe costco could not even book it for me. My past experience has been Costco was a little cheaper than cruisequick. Not much though like a $50 per adult.
Thanks for your help. I am going to call costco in the morning, and then DCL if need be. If I miss out I guess it wasn't meant to be this time.

Steve

You should be able to make the reservation & have a hold on it for a day or two. That will give you enough time to contact your TA & have them complete the deal.
