Transfer - what is a "year"

I understand that a member can only do one transfer per year, but what is a year ? Is it a UY, calendar year, once every 365 days, or some other definition ?

My understanding is that transfers may only go in one direction per use year.

For exampe, if you transfer points into your account, you may not transfer points out of your account during that same use year. You may accept other transfers into your account during that same use year, however.
