Transfer question

I am new to DVC but want to book an Oct. 05 trip to BCV. Will have used all 2005 points (Dec UY) and plan on borrowing the rest of my 2006 points and need to transfer the rest of the points needed.
What UY,year points should I be looking for to use with my 2006 borrowed points for Oct this year?? And, I believe once I borrow these 2006 points from my account, I have to use them by end of Nov. 2005 or lose them, right? I cannot bank them. Thanks!

I do know that you can't bank borrowed points and they would expire at the end of the use year you have borrowed them into. However, I am not sure about what UY you should try to rent to make your October trip. I can never remember if both the UY and the Home Resort Status stay the same on rented(transferred) points.

you can't bank borrowed points. you would need points that don't expire before end of oct 06. so you would need dec 06 points.or someone's dec 05 cause they would expire nov 30, 06 someone correct me if I am wrong
