Transfer points

Did anyone else realize that you are allowed to gift points but are not allowed to transfer points for compensation? I just found that out from member services.

Yes - that's true.

IMHO, Disney/DVC put that in the contracts to make sure they don't have to get involved in any "dispute" between members. So if a transfer or rental goes bad, the parties involved are on their own - Disney will not help.
