Transfer points

Can I transfer some '09 points to someone who wants to travel in '08? Or is the only way to help the members out is to borrow the points and make the reservation for them myself?

The only options is to make the reservation for them within your account because you can't borrow transferred points. Even that assumes that they want to travel after your use year starts.

LIkely not until they get into the 08 UY.

... and those points still couldn't be used for a reservation during the '08 Use Year since they could not be borrowed. The may be used for a stay during the '09 Use Year or banked to be used in the '10 Use Year.

So i will need to find someone to transfer the points to my account. Can i have someone transfer me their 08 points, and then bank them to 2009? Do they have to be August 08 points, or any 08 month?

Yes - transferred points may be banked into the following Use Year - but be careful with banking those transferred points since the May trip falls in your August Use Year and if you have already banked points transferred from a June-or-later Use Year they could not be used for a May,2009 trip.

No, transferred points can be banked but not borrowed.

I am a little confused about the bank/borrow of traded points. If I have an April use yr. I have already used all my 08 points. I want to use my borrowed 09 points for a NYE ressie for 12/29/08-1/2/09. However I am short by 30 pts. If I wanted to trade or rent points from another member at my same resort what time frame of points can I trade/rent? All I have to offer in a trade in 2010 points. Can I trade 2010 points for 2009 points? I thought I could trade 30 points of my 2010 points for 30 points from another with a use year of 2009.
