Can anyone tell me if you can transfer points from someone else's contract into yours if it's a different resort? I have a VWL contract and was wondering if someone that had BCV or someplace else could transfer points into my contract even if they stay BCV points. Thanks

Yes, you can transfer points into your account from another home resort. The transferred points retain their original home resort and use year.

Just a reminder - points that have been banked or borrowed cannot be transferred. But the recipient can bank (but not borrow) points that have been transferred into his/her account.

Yes, in fact some members do this so that they can book at a resort they do not own 11 months out. In your example, you could transfer in BCV points and then use those to book BCV 11 months out.

On the other hand, if you want to book VWL 11 months out and don't have enough of your own points for that reservation, you would have to transfer in VWL points since no other points could be used at VWL until 7 months out.

You also need to know that paying for the transfer is against the DVC rules.
