No, no, and no, with a caveat. If you cancel within 30 days of the reservation, the points become "holding status," which means they can only be used for ressies 60 days in the future. Also, you have to be aware of the use year implications of cancelling a reservation at the last minute. You could end up losing the points if you don't know what you're doing.

Use year, transfers, banking and borrowing, and holding status points are technical questions, and you really should rely on your DVC guide and the formal written information in the public offering for that information.
