I own points at both the BWV and the BC, I have never tried this but I would assume that I could transfer my points from one membership to another if I need points. Are there any rule or limitations on transfering points that you own from one membership to another if they are for different resorts? Please help if you can.

Thanks

If they are the same use year, it's not a problem at all. Everything would be done by MS seemlessly. In that case the only limiting factor is abiding by the 11 month home resort rule.

If they are under one contract with the same use year there's no problem as long as you're not trying to use points from BCV resort for a stay BWV during the 11-7 month window or vice versa. They don't actually have to transfer to do this unless you're needing to combine points for a single nights stay using both accounts. If they are totally separate accounts you can transfer if you want with the benefits and limitations associated.

i will be renting points from someone :confused3 pretty soon for a stay at my home - bcv. do i need to get my points transferred from a bcv person in order to make my ressie before the 7 month window? is this making any sense? thanks. terry

Points hold thier home resort priority so if you want to book BCV between 7 and 11 months you need to have BCV points transferred to you!

I just had points transfered to my account. MS said since the transferring points are BCV points the use year changed to my year. I asked specifically if this was correct. CM put me on hold to check. She came back and said yes the UY changed to mine since both were BCV points. I wrote MS and have an email stating the same.

thanks terry and caskar. i will post on the rent/trade board asking for bcv transfer.

While this is what the rules say and how it should be, it's definitely not the case. You can force them to keep the home resort by doing it manually but it doesn't work this way automatically.
