Has anyone had points transferred to their account for another DVC member? If yes how do you ensure that neither party gets duped in the deal?

Do you usually pay up front or after the points have been transferred?

You can handle the transaction with a 3 way call with MS.

Payments need to be dealt with between the parties, as they are expressly forbidden in our documents- so MS won't offer any assistance there at all.

The members will need to agree on the way payment is handled on their own.

Good luck!

THanks for the info, if there is anyone out there that has done this can they recommend a way for payment that they thought was fair to both sides?

If you're looking for a method for payment security, you could both sign up for paypal. Then the buyer can make a charge on their credit card, and the seller will receive a check or a bank credit.

Sign up is free to both. I don't remember what the transaction fee would be (to the seller only), but I don't think it's very much. Their charts would show it.

check out www.paypal.com

Other choices of course are a buyer's personal check, money order, bank draft (cashier's check), or traveler's checks.

Paypal is popular for auction sites or other areas where transfer of funds between two private parties is involved.

EDITED: I just looked up Paypal's fees. No fee to the buyer, and 2.9% + $0.30 to the seller.

Also, if the buyer pays by other than a credit card, then the transaction is free to both buyer and seller.
