Transfer Help from MCO to Port Canaveral?

We are spending several days in the Orlando area before our cruise. I was planning on renting a minivan and returning it to MCO and then I guess getting some sort of transportation to Port Canaveral. Is that the best way to go about it and if so does anyone have any recs of a company to use?

What about renting from a company that has a location near the port? The driver can drop off everyone else and the luggage, then return the vehicle and get a ride back to the ship.

This is exactly what we did a few years ago. I believe the company was Budget. They had a location in north Cocoa Beach or the southern part of Cape Canaveral (the towns all run without a break there). I dropped my family off and was back at the port via the Budget shuttle within about 30 minutes.
