Hi!

Trying to book the 2022 EBTA followed by the Med but the TA said that you can't do an open loop cruise followed by a closed loop. Is this true? I've seen reports of people doing these B2B before and I've heard of several people doing it this year, too. She said she checked with the Cruise line and everything? New rules? Is there a way to circumvent this? I feel like I remember something like this happening with Puerto Rico cruises, but I've definitely heard of people doing B2B Transatlantic/Med (and I think all the Med cruises are RT from Barcelona).

I'd book on my own, I'd rather book on my own, but I want the OBC from the travel agency! Any help would be appreciated.

Unless something has changed you can do a B2B with The EBTA and the Mediterranean cruise. I think your TA is confusing it with a a cruise that starts in the USA one way and returns to the USA on the next leg like the NYC to San Juan followed by San Juan to Miami which is not allowed.

That’s definitely possible. Only cruises that involve a repositioning of the ship in the US cannot be done B2B, unless it’s a Panama Canal cruise, since that cruise stops in a distant foreign port. The EU does not have rules similar to the PVSA for cruise ships.

You can absolutely do both of these cruises back to back. Your TA is incorrect.

Your TA is thinking PVSA, which doesn't apply in Europe.

I don't know your TA, but it sounds like they don't do much European booking.
