Tranfering Banked Points?

I was told by another DVC owner you can not transfer borrowed points, but can you transfer banked points? We are in the process of buying our first contract and it comes with 100 points with 50 of those banked from 05. I have a current reservation with another DVC owner for a studio and wanted to transfer the 05 banked points and a few 06 points to them and have them upgrade to a 1 bedroom. Would we be able to do this?

Formally you cannot transfer banked or borrowed points but you can bank (but not borrow) transferred points. The exceptions I've seen all involve multiple contracts of a single owner.

Another thing you might be able to do is have them book part of your trip in a 1bdrm and you book the other part in the 1bdrm. MS might be able to link the Ressies but I'm not sure . I would call MS and ask them for a recomedation on how to handle it.
