Trams return announced

You don't have to take the trams if you don't want. There are plenty of folks who need to, and for them, I am glad the service is back.

I realize that but I was referring to the noise / smell they generate whether one is on the tram or not. I did say I recognized that I was likely in the minority. But Disney could vastly improve things for everyone by going electric.

I wasn't referring to your post...but since we are complaining about the noise/smell, sure. They do. But you're in a PARKING LOT. Full of noisy smell cars, busses etc. It's not like they're driving up and down Main Street. If you're spending that much time in the parking lot where the trams are a problem, you might be doing Disney wrong.

Now those smelly loud cars on the Speedway in Tomorrowland? I am all on board with getting rid of those things and going electric.

And to be fair, we could ALL improve thing by going electric with our own vehicles.

It really is quite ironic that the "Tomorrow Land" cars are gas powered. Walt would have had those suckers powered by jet fuel in the 70s, nuclear in the 80s, hydrogen cell in the 90s, electric by 2000 and by now they'd be solar powered.
Wasn't that the whole point of Tomorrow Land? To showcase technology of the future? What a missed opportunity.

Those are the worst smelling gas engines I have ever smelled
I’m not sure if the trams were battery powered, they would last all day, like the diesel powered ones do. They would need huge batteries and take a long time to recharge. Yes I know charge times are improving. I will agree that Disney is a little hypocritical in its greenness. They do something’s that are green and others that are the complete opposite. For all the land they have they could be 100% solar at WDW. A refillable mug should be good anywhere on property, if you need to charge $10 more do so. There is so much just in paper cup waste it is sickening. Six Flaggs sells a refillable mug and it’s good for the whole year.
