Hello,

To anyone that's done the program before...(this is one of the questions I don't know) does anyone know what role or attraction possibly has the shorest amount of training time?

or is it possible to be placed as PAC for a role?

Thanks to anyone that can answer.

If you are Main Street Ops, chances are you will primarily do PAC, although there are a few other roles that fall under MS Ops. I figured that PAC would be a short training time, too, but there are actually a lot of important details you need to learn, therefore OJT (on-the-job) training for it probably takes at least a few days.

As for the attraction that takes the least training, I do not really know. I work at Splash Mountain and that took a week and a half when all was said and done, so I assume we are one of the more "lengthy" training programs.

I'm not sure what area has the shortest amount of training. I had 5 days each for merch and character attendant, and 3 days for custodial.

PAC isn't an area by itself. You can do PAC as part of Main Street and Ad/Lib attractions (also Frontierland ops). Sigh, I miss doing PAC.

I worked at Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney...I had about 2 days for each

When I got trained for Fantasmic and PAC at the Disney Studios it was only 1 full day of training; however, now I hear it is up to two days. When I was training at Tower of Terror (this was about a week after my PAC Fantasmic training) it was a full week.

When I had training for the old Buzz Complex attractions, it took about a week and a half. It was 1 day for each attraction, then we had one night where we learned to close an attraction, then a day to get ceritified on all of them, and then another day stuck in there to learn and do PAC. But now that complex is split into 2, so the area would have about 5days or so of training.

Ok, so I've been reading this and trying to figure it out....and I'm embarassed that I couldn't figure it out. What does PAC stand for? ;)

PAC is Parade Audience Control. They work the parades, interacting with guests beforehand and making sure people stay in the right spots during the parades.

PAC shifts are so much fun.

Again Joanna swoops in with the info! Thanks much! That does seem like fun!

Now I'm trying to remember what I've read.... can pretty much any cast member get PAC training and pick up shifts like that for extra hours? What about shows like Fantasmic? I know you can get extra hours handing out bracelets for Extra Magic Hours at night...

Anyone can get PAC shifts, as they are untrained. Anything that does not require extra training can be picked up for extra hours. As for Fant, it used to be untrained. But I have a bad feeling that it now requires training (so, just for the MGM Fant-area people).

And yes, wristbands does not need training.
