Just to expand on the great answer from @yulilin3 above, the issue with the MK trains is the railroad track is in the way of the new Tron attraction construction that is behind Space Mountain.

Part of the railroad track has been opened to allow all the major site construction work for Tron to progress to completion.

Wasn't there originally just going to be a "raised walkway" OVER the Tracks.

The last few artist renderings show a tunnel where the train goes through tron.
You almost must have that in that area. An old steam train going through the high tech Tron theme doesn't work.

I was wondering how they were going to do the train track. I didn't know if they were going to do something like Haunted Mansion, where you go under the train tracks to get to the Tron ride.

Awesome-the only rendering I have seen "appeared" to show that Guests would walk up steps and walk over the train.

I honestly don’t think that’s likely. I’d put train as more likely for late summer or fall. Torn May open before the train does.

We really could have used the train this past week. Having to walk anywhere you wanted to go in the park was pretty brutal in this week's strong heat and sun.

Disappointed the train won't be running in January. One of our favorite things to do.
