DH says there is a tour of the MK train station available in the mornings. Has anyone done this? DS is a train nut. He will only be 5 1/2 by the time we go, and that is under the age listed in the price list. Any chance he could get in?

It's not only the train station, but a special ride on the train that goes to the maintenance buildings "backstage." I highly recommend it, but I am not sure how flexible they are on the age issue.

We did this last October and really enjoyed it. As Jamesbyr said, it is not just the train station. When you go "backstage" they show you where the trains are kept and explain how they start them up each morning. They give you some background on each of the different engines and you actually get to get up in the drivers seat of the engine. My DH & I said we would definitely do this again if we get a chance to. Plus you get a special pin at the end of the tour.

I think the age limit is probably a safety issue. I have a train nut too but my dd will only be 9 while we're there so we're going to have to wait for the next trip to do the tour and ds will just have to be happy with exploring the minature trains at Epcot for this trip.
