We will be flying into Paris and immediately getting on a train to Bayeux where we will spend the night and then go on an all day WWII tour the next day. The plan is we will finish the tour in time to take a train back to Paris around 6p.m. Once we arrive in Paris that evening we will transfer to the train that goes to Disneyland Paris. I realize that this will make for a late arrival to the Disneyland hotel but it allows us to be up early for one day at the parks. I am starting to second guess this decision. Will it be safe to travel that late on the trains in the evening especially with having to change trains in Paris at night? Is it better to stay another night in Bayeux and take an early train to Paris and then on to Disneyland? We only have one day at Disneyland so I would like to have as much time there as possible but our safety comes first. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

What time is that train to Disneyland? As a European I wouldn't consider taking a train at night in Paris to be particularly dangerous.

It's up to you, but I would not be concerned about taking a train in the evening in Paris.

the only thing that would be worrying me would be connections and distances and time it takes to transfer. Travelling by train is as safe as travelling by train in any large city.

Getting to Disney the night before means you can relax and even explore Disney Village if you feel up to it. Then next morning you will have EMH between 8am and 10am. This is really really benificial, especially as you only have 1 day. It means you will get to meet characters, take amazing photos of the castle and get on signature rides in Fantasyland and Discoveryland before the huge lines build up.

You have such short time in Disney anyway, just get the train the night before

We've taken the metro as late as they run in Paris as well as the Marne-la-Vallee (DLP) to Paris RER an hour after park close with no problems.

thanks for the replies everyone. I feel better about taking the train so late now.

I wouldn't say that it would be dangerous, however Paris trains (like all touristy areas) are notorious for pickpockets. Just something be aware of, particularly as it sounds like you'll be travelling with your luggage.

dh and kids are doing the same thing in July, getting back on train from DDay tour and then connecting to RER to DLP. You could also have a priavte shuttle pick you up at a hotel near the train station for about 80 euros,if you don't want to then connect to the RER. We took it the last time we were there. Many tourists from DLP and commuters take it. I didn't think it went thru any particularly dangerous areas.

Disney's surrounding are mostly safe anyway. RER A connects through mostly calm residential suburbs so you should not worry about safety. Moreover, trains to Disneyland are rarely empty so other people will be on your train, even late at night!

Since the recent terror attacks the RER A line and TGV trains and stations have a very strong Police and Army presence. A friend arrived at DLP at 11pm last week from Paris and she reported there were Police walking around on the train and saw the Army standing at a few stations along the route.

Do you know the name of any reputable private shuttle companies? Also the name of the near by hotels that they would pick up from? thanks

what are you doing with your luggage? Our tour bus said we could not bring extra bags.
I would just google disney paris shuttle and then make sure I had email communication with them. We booked from online a few years ago and it was fine. Don't recall which one. It's 95 euros one way for up to 6 persons. There are a number of hotels near the station. There appears to be a Hilton nearby. I would pad the time a bit, so if train arrives @ 8:45pm, arrange for pickup @ 9:15 @ lobby of hotel. The train is really fine, though.
