Trail's End Question

I see on AllEarsNet it says Soup and Salad Only available, is it really possible to go and just get the soup/salad without paying for the full buffet at dinner? My family is planning on going but we have one vegetarian in the group, she'd be super happy to be able to just get the soup/salad bar option.

They also offered grilled salmon and a few steamed vegetable options when we were there in December. It's a big buffet that offers a lot of options. It's one of our favorite places for breakfast and dinner ( lunch is a la carte off a menu). I 'm pretty sure you get charged the same price whether you eat one or two items or 10 at the buffet. But you should call Disney Dining to make sure.

I've found that when I send a message to Disney directly online, it might take longer than a phone call for a reply (a few days) but they tend to be a bit more helpful when they're able to contact the restaurant directly.

If no one knows it's not a big deal, she comes to all the buffets with us anyway. I just saw that on AllEarsNet and thought someone here may have been recently and know one way or the other. I don't bother asking Disney any questions directly, they seem to give out incorrect information on a regular basis. We'll find out one way or the other in August.

A different Trails End question here and a bit odd, but I figured somebody here would know! Is the fried chicken the same fried chicken that they serve at the Hoop Dee Doo? My DH loves the chicken at HDDR and it would be a lot cheaper to just go to Trails End if it is the same food.

Yes, it is! (also the cornbread, beans, strawberry cake, etc.) We just dined there a week ago. They have a wonderful selection on the buffet - one of our favorite places to dine. We also camp at FW in our mh so it is very convenient for us.

And yes, chloelovesdisney, the soup and salad can be purchased as a meal. We have never eaten it alone, but know it is available.
