I am having a hard time deciding what to do on our arrival night. Although I don't think I have too much of a choice now because we are leaving VERY soon. We are staying at POP.
Right now we have ADR's for Garden Grove at the Swan. But I have been hearing that this is not really a good place to go. I've been trying to get Chef Mickeys for the longest time, but nothing has opened up earlier than 9:15pm.

So, I read something about Trail's End Buffet? I haven't heard a lot about it, is it good food? Do I need ADR's there? I was thinking maybe doing a dinner there and then heading over to the Campfire at Ft. Wilderness for a little while.

What do you all suggest??

I think that is an excellent idea. DH & I will be staying at the VWL this coming Thursday for one night on our way back from VB. We plan to spend the day at Epcot for the flower & garden show and then have dinner at Trail's End. We have eaten there a couple of times. Good ole comfort foods and all you can eat. We will probably just take the boat over to Ft. Wilderness from the WL. Being Disney I would always suggest an ADR just to be safe.

I think it have very good food, ribs, fried chicken, pizza, tons of veggies, potatoes, a salad bar, choc and vanilla Ice cream, a few kinds of cookies and a few other things, soda is included in the price. you dont need an ADR but you could have a wait, but not a bad one. we are staying at wilderness lodge next week and plan to head over to the fort one night to eat.

Okay I just cancelled Garden Grove and booked Trails End for 5:55pm. So we will get to POP around 12:00, eat lunch at POP, hang out at the pool for a little while and head over to Ft. Wilderness (by car) at about 4:00. Hopefully that will give us enough time to do a Pony ride and maybe the petting farm before we head over to dinner.
Isn't there a playground outside of Trails End if we get there too early?

And then after dinner we should be able to head over to the campfire for a little while, and with some luck, meet Chip and Dale.

Is this doable?

The petting zoo, restaurant & playground are all in the same vicinity.

Just a note - the petting zoo really isn't there any more. They moved the goats to Animal Kingdom. The ponies are still there though!
