We went to Trails End 2 days ago for lunch and before we went in, I saw the sign that says the menu is now changed. It is now a salad bar, sandwich bar, chili, and some dessert. It no longer serves hot food except for soups an fried chicken in the salad bar section. We left and went to Kona instead.

I guess this is how Disney cuts cost on this one.

Any news on the dinner menu? We are going next week and will change if the menu has changed much

Uh oh, looks like Disney figured out people had found a place that was somewhat economical and still onsite! That's too bad, it was a great deal.

Allears will probably update their recently updated menu very soon.

So park attendance is down, lets charge the folks that are going in spite of the economy the same money for less food. :sad2:

At least they kept the fried chicken.

Thank you, but I had looked at this earlier. We have never been there, so we need to know what is different. Thanks in advance

The new menu reminds me of a restaurant chain we have around here called, "Fresh choice" (salad bar, soup, chili, pizza, potatoes...etc.)
It's a really popular restaurant around here. :hippie:

I only remember ribs being at dinner. But it has been a while since I was there for lunch.

The things that I know were cut out - pizza, BBQ stuff (it could be ribs, we had had them in the past for lunch), hot sandwiches, and hot vegetables. Also, the dessert items were better before the change.

Maybe it was close to 1:30 or so, even the fried chicken plate only had a few pieces, not like a whole pile in the past.

I asked to take a look at the food section, and I was so disappointed and told them we no longer needed a table.

The menu posted above states pizza and veggies are still on the buffet. Perhaps they were replenishing when you peaked in or the veggies are now cold.

Allears and the DIS's own www.wdwinfo.com will probably update the menu as soon as someone who visits each site provides the respective sites with a menu (actual, photograph, etc.) :)

Bummer. This was DH's favorite. He loved the mac & cheese.

It does kind of solve a logistical problem for me, though. Unless it gets changed back, I don't have to figure out how to get us (including my mom in a wheelchair) there, which was going to be a pain.

I'll be watching this closely. I had talked this place up to DH and the kids, now I have to tell them it won't be what I told them it was.

We were hoping to do dinner and then the campfire. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens. I don't want to wait to long, I may want to make an ADR somewhere else.

This is yet another disappointing change:sad2:

I've been going for dinner for years and it doesn't appear they changed it much. Still looks good to me.
