We were going to try the Trail's End Buffet our next trip for breakfast. I was wondering if someone could provide their thoughts on the place. Is it just like all the other buffet's??? How would you rate the food quality???

Thanks!!!!!

All-You-Can-Eat Buffet includes:
coffee and hot tea
scrambled eggs
Mickey Waffles
sausage
bacon
hash browns
omelet of the day
corned beef hash
oatmeal
grits
assorted cereals
sausage gravy with biscuits
French toast
fresh seasonal fruit
hot cinnamon spice apples
donuts and pastries

Price: $10.99 Adult; $6.99 Child (3 - 11)
Continental Breakfast also available
The price of this breakfast is the best onsite. We enjoy Trails End for the value, but we also like the boat ride to get there, and just walking around the grounds.

Would you say the food is comparable to a Character meal--but obviously without any characters??

Yes, I would say the food is comparable, but not as many "exotic" items. It is basic fare. The list in the above post covers it all.

We stay at FW and loooooooooove Trail's End.

We have been several times to the dinner buffet, but I think I will try the breakfast buffet there on our next trip. Trail's End is one of WDW's best kept secrets, IMHO...

We ate breakfast there in December and thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was fresh and hot and we were there right before they were closing for breakfast. I would definatley go back. The boat ride over was nice and afterwards we walked over to the petting zoo. Very relaxed and good variety.

We love the Trails End for breakfast! When did they raise the price?? In May last year it was 9.99/5.99. :confused3

I agree with the previous poster...best kept secret in Disney!!

We tried it a couple of months ago and I can say it was really good. The price was very reasonable too. It was like a home cooked meal and very relaxing. :sunny:

After reading this, I think we'll try it too. Thanks everyone! Gotta love the DIS! :flower:

How did you find the transportation.. I've been trying to figure that one out.Is it best to go from one of the Parks? or can you get from there back to your resort? I.e. CBR

Thanks

We've always taken our resort bus to the MK, and then hopped the boat from the MK to FW. We do Trails End for breakfast on our MK day, so we arrive early, eat a huge breakfast and then head back to the MK for the day. We are so full, we are able to skip lunch (or eat a mickey bar!) and then eat a good sit down dinner.

You do need to allow some travel time, but I think it's easiest taking the boat.

Hi,

While you are there at Ft Wilderness at Trails End, if you have time to walk around, look for the totally white peacock. He's awesome!

We stayed at Ft Wilderness for 10 days in June '04 and ate there for breakfast and dinner. Both buffets had plenty of food and the kids liked the laid back atmosphere. Hubby loved the breakfast selections.

We'd go again.
