Has anyone been to the Trails End Buffet lately? We are thinking of popping over there to give it a try for either breakfast or dinner so any reviews would be great. Thanks :)

Its good, simple, comfort food. Relaxed atmosphere. Lower price than most on property buffets too.

Thanks. We are going to over at the Magic Kingdom & I wanted to try something different so I think we will hope on the boat & go over

I totally agree with the last poster. It is nothing special but it is not bad. We liked it for a night of regular not fancy dining. Something that reminded us of home. Sometimes you just need that. We are not fancy by nature so we liked it.

I am going to be completely honest and tell you that Trails End was one of our favorite meals on our last trip. Besides California Grill but the two aren't anywhere near the same league.

We loved the southern style food, it was SO good. They didn't try to fancy anything up. If that makes sense. The ribs were ribs, the corn was corn, the chicken was fried chicken etc. On our next trip we will be eating there DEFINTELY. No reservations needed either so that's even better. We made reservations to eat there, only to get there adn realize it was not needed at all. :thumbsup2

BTW, the ribs here are YUMMY. I kept going back for more until my stomach was about to burst.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Trails End!! We go every trip and ask for our favorite server Gary. It's cheap, like a PP mentioned, but good quality. It's quiet and the service is perfect. We like wandering over to Fort Wilderness b/c it gives us a break from the craziness of the parks. I definitely rec. it but you might want to consider paying OOP and saving a TS credit for another meal. :thumbsup2

Makes perfect sense. The best food is that which tastes like itself. I love everything about Trail's End.

What are the dinner desserts and are they good? Did you like the lunch there?

One of our party is vegetarian - are there any options? - something like cheese pizza or pasta with marinara sauce would be good.

I went vegetarian during Lent once and I did eat there. There were two sauces for the Pasta, one with meat and one without. There are cooked veggies and breads, fruit, and raw veggies. Mac-and-cheese. There was cheese pizza too.

We have always made reservations but I don't think they would be needed. Each time we have went for a 5pmish dinner there have been plenty of extra seating.

As for desserts there is apple cobbler, ice cream & toppings, brownies and cookies. I'm sure there is more but that's all I can remember! :thumbsup2

We've only been for breakfast and it was great. Plenty of food. We were stuffed!
