Trails End and Hoop De Doo Revue Question

I have already reserved Hoop de doo Revue for a Saturday in August. The night before I planned on us just eating cs for dinner after HS at WPE. Now I am thinking about having dinner at Trails End. Is the food too similar to have those two restaurants so close?
I want to do the movie that night.

You get more selection at TE, HDDR menu is set unless you get a substitution because you don't like something. Both meals in my opinion are good! I've seen folks not like both, it depends on your tastes but I'll eat at either one any day. I would keep to your plan with no worries.

If you haven't seen HDDR, you'll love it, it's one of my favorite things to do at Disney.

I could be wrong, but to me, it sure tastes like the meat comes out of the same pot in the kitchen that they send to TE and HDDR.

I'm pretty sure the food at HDDR is the same food that is on the buffet at TE. That being said, we like to do both because there is a larger selection of food at TE. At HDDR, you are really paying for the show, but the food is pretty darn good, too. Especially the Stawberry Shortcake. Oh, and unlimited beer and sangria don't hurt neither!

Yep, the food at HDDR comes straight from the TE kitchen, TE has more selection though.

I'll agree...we've ate at both places and the food is the same. The chicken, I thought, was great!

HDD is more "family style" and you'll get a lot more options at TE!

I really enjoy Trail's End because they have a large selection of comfort foods. If you're into the buffet style where you have mac and cheese, fried chicken, hand carved meats, ribs, salads, soups, pasta, potatoes, veggies, pizza, etc. then it will definitely be a great place for you to try! I remember talking to a cast member who was serving us one night and they mentioned that the food they serve in the Hoop De Doo is the same they serve at the buffet. It's all you can eat but with less options (obviously... it's not buffet style). I think they main draw is the show coupled with some great home cooking... either way I'm thinking you can't go wrong
