Any suggestions for basically traditional but delicious Thanksgiving Day offerings in the World? Last year we didnt plan far enough ahead and ended up at Saana - which had a great view!!! Liberty Tree seems like an obvious choice EXCEPT MK will be mobbed that day!!! The booking period for Thanksgiving is almost upon us and I am hoping you can offer some first hand suggestions!!

TIA :)

We ate at Cape May. I know Captain's Grille (YC) had a traditional meal. The majority of the restaurants do. Someone said that Allears has the list of restaurants from last year that served Thanksgiving dinner.
HTH

In 2009, we had Thanksgiving at the GF. It was room service and I'm not sure which restaurant does room service meals. It was the best Thanksgiving meal that I have ever eaten.

We had a traditional Thanksgiving meal at the Flying Fish. It was delicious.

We had TG dinner at the contemporary fast food place. They had a delicious TG meal

1) I also like good food at Thanksgiving.
2) But, I also want a different atmosphere.
3) So, I have an off-the-wall and out-of-the-way favorite.

4) Trail's End Thanksgiving Lunch and Dinner Buffet:
. . . hearty vegetable soup, salad bar, fruit
. . . smoked turkey breast, mustard glazed ham, corn bread stuffing
. . . chicken, bbq pork ribs, baked salmon, penne pasta
. . . green beans, glazed carrots, broccoli,
. . . butternut squash, mashed potatoes, candied yams,
. . . pumpkin pie

NOTE:
There are several WDW eateries with traditional Thanksgiving food.
I don't think there are any bad choices.
Turkey is pretty much turkey, and I can get that at home.
So, I go for the atmosphere I can't get at home.

We ate at Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness last year and it was delecious. They had traditional fare and their usual fried chicken and ribs. There was something for everyone. DS11 ate mac and cheese and he was very happy. I think I was the only one in the family who had a traditional Thanksgiving meal. The dessert was a pumpkin cheesecake and it was fabulous. :thumbsup2

Liberty Tree Tavern. They serve Thanksgiving dinner every day. It's one of our must do's!

Garden Grill would be my choice for that type of meal. Always very Thanksgiving-y. :thumbsup2 But make your ADR early...books up very quickly!

We ate Thanksgiving dinner in 2005 at Crystal Palace. There was a special holiday menu that wasn't "traditional" in the sense of LTT, but definitely included turkey and trimmings on the buffet. We all really enjoyed it (ages 4 to 68)

I just made our ressies today. We've never been Thanksgiving Week. Based on the 2010 menus we decided on Trail's End for Thanksgiving Dinner. Sounds like we made a good choice. It's great that my husband can eat at a buffet with his food allergies.

You will not be sorry. There is something for everyone. Hope you enjoy as much as we did. :goodvibes

This past Thanksgiving, we spent the day at Epcot. Had lunch at Le Cellier. We then went back to our hotel, Port Orleans Riverside. They had traditional Thanksgiving meals at Riverside Mill. My teenage boys LOVVVVVVED it. DH, DD and I opted for pizza instead! Everyone loved their meals and we'd definitely do that again. Enjoy your trip!!!!

Thanks everyone for your great suggestions.... I would never have thought of Trail's End!!! It's great to hear your experiences!
