All I can say is! :earseek:

Last night was the first time I've watched it and I couldn't believe it. That woman was WAY over the top. She was more psycho than the spiritualist family. Yikes!

It makes me mad that they kept showing her going off the deep end like it was coming up soon, but it's on the NEXT show!!! GRRRRRR

Hahaha!! I was ticked off, too - we kept thinking that maybe it was a 1 1/2 show since they kept showing her blow up!!

That was some show. Can you imagine that poor guy having to deal with her all week? At the beginning of the radio show, I thought maybe she'd mellow out. I guess not!

I know, I kept waiting to see the full meltdown, too! I usually don't watch this show but it happened to be on in the background while I finished up the dinner dishes and daughter finished up homework. Everytime they showed that woman, one of us would say, "she's gonna blow now!", and we'd stop to watch, but they kept showing the same clip. Guess we'll have to tune in next week, although she did look pretty scary when she got all worked up! :rotfl:

I admit I never watched this show before. My DH was watching That 70s Show before and I happened to just leave the TV on after he left the room. WOW! What a piece of work that woman was! Her one friend (the blonde) who wouldn't even let the other mom answer a question w/o interrupting wasn't much better. I swear it is people like that who give average Christians a bad name!

What is her deal????? What about her "friends"? That blonde woman was a real you-know-what.

I don't think she can deal with "life" very well, she seems very sheltered and unstable. My question is, why did she go on this show? Did she really think they would put her in the same situation that she comes from? Those shows always have extreme people on but this one takes the cake.

I've never watched it before last night either, but the commercials were too much to pass up!! That woman was bizarre at best!! In the scenes from next week show, are the papers that she tears up and "rebukes" a check that the family wins for being on the show? I just love how she shouts "Get the !@#&% out of my house, in the name of Jesus!!!". Talk about a major league disconnect!!!

It looks for all the world like she's ripping up the $50,000 check in the middle of her meltdown! The cheese has definitely slid off that woman's cracker. Oh, whoever asked, no it's not a repeat. This was the season premier. From the looks of the previews this year is going to be a bunch of strippers trading with a bunch of fundamental christians. In one preview a woman asks a black woman at a party what her nationality is. She replys that she is african american. The woman asks her where in africa. I had to LOL because we had a discussion here about that very thing not long ago. Suprisingly, it remained civil for quite a few pages!

That lady was nuts! I just hope I remember to watch next week to see her meltdown.

Can someone remind those of us with bad memories that this show is coming up next week???

I want to watch in the worst way, but I can't remember when the show is on!

Me too! I was amazed at how calm the radio host husband remained through all that woman put him through, especially her attitude on air. Wasn't it sad to see someone so narrow that she couldn't even be polite?

And her friends really surprised me... you'd think, even if they felt that way, that they would show her some concern because they felt she 'needed Christ'. But they were SO rude and condesending.

The saddest thing though, IMO, was the way that mom kept saying "my holy spirit is rising up in me and I'm gonna blow'... or something to that effect. How could she think that kind of anger is the Holy Spirit. There may be a place for 'holy wrath' but that didn't seem like what was going on there.

I generally like the spouse swap shows, because both families learn so much about the world but mostly about themselves and how much they love each other. I don't know how this situation could bring any good... at least in the one family.

The other family will definitely have a greater appreciation for what they have. I guess we'll find out next week!

I think this is the show I saw a commercial spot for this past week....Trading something, I think spouses. Now I see why people have the mental problems they do, feeding on this type of programing on a steady basis. Sure seemed like a bunch of nut cases. I do think this was the name of the show.

I'm sorry but there was nothing Christian or God Loving about those people. What narrow minded, stuck up, better than thou women.

The nut case mother needs a really good shrink. I feel so sorry for her children.

Amen! to that. I was afraid to go too far into that in my OP, for fear of a debate or worse. But as others have said, that woman gives true Christians a bad name.

I do wonder what the whole vomitting episode was about. Think she really smelled something, or did she work herself into such a tizzy that she literally made herself sick?

I also wonder how much the producers egged her behavior on. I mean, anything for ratings, yanno. Heck, it worked. It got me to watch, and now I HAVE to tune in next week. sigh

Marguerite was from my home town, where I was born and raised. I forgot it was on last night and missed it. Can anyone post what happened with her? I don't know her, but I will have to call and ask my mom if she does.

I watched last night and could not beleive my ears our eyes :earseek:
when does this come back on???

I wanted to reach through the TV and beat the crap out of that snotty witch! I cannot STAND people like that! Beat her down off her pedestal.

I wondered about that too. I thought maybe the kids put something in the house to make it stink. All her gagging and dry heaving made ME start to gag, and I had to turn away when she actually did throw up. Gross!

I only saw the last 20 minutes, but wow what a gem of television this was! First of all if I ever let myself go that badly shoot me. It's one thing to become overweight, but to cut off all your hair, not wear makeup, and have a missing tooth, is very eeew. I feel bad for her seemingly normal husband.

The blonde lady at the party made me audibly gasp at her rudeness. Where does she get off?!

I didn't understand about the Christian family children. Was one a granddaughter? Was the overweight 'child' her mom? Or were they all sisters. I feel sorry for them.

I'm definitely in next week! I'll have to keep my eyes/ears open of when it will be on.

ETA - Just as a person on the outside, it seems as if her faith isn't terribly strong. It's as if she's covering up her doubts with loudness and stomping. I don't know something about her seems off.

The oldest daughter was the mother of the 6 year old.
