Trading Spaces -- They Hated It!

Did anyone else the Trading Spaces episodes last night ... the ones where various homeowners hated their rooms?

Personally, I think these people overreacted (without naming names ... Pam!). I thought all of the redecorating was a vast improvement compared to what the houses looked like before. As for Pam's living room, maybe it was a little "modern", but it wasn't like Doug trashed the place. I also never understood the reaction to the yellow room with the sunburst design. I thought it looked nice, and again, an improvement over the "before" room.

My least favorite episode was the one from Huntington, Long Island, with the mothers and daughters. You must remember it ... two of the homeowners had dates and conned friends into doing their "homework". I always thought that the one daughter was more enchanted with being a "TV star" than actually doing any work.

I NEVER (well almost never) miss a TS on Saturdays.

I actually thought Pam did very well. Although I don't think there was anything "wrong" with Doug's room, it just wasn't her style. At least she had the class to excuse herself from the room without being a total b***h like some people have done. I know that Doug felt bad about it the situation and that he sent her a note saying so (although it's second hand news coming from the TS boards). Sometimes Doug does some great stuff (the 3rd episode last night with the headboard that served as a storage space and a divider for the bedroom/computer area) and sometimes he does some yucky stuff (the red and white tv room, but then again the homeowners LOVED it). However, he always looks good to my eyes. (sigh).

Caught one of my favorite Frank rooms tonight. What he did to that converted garage was fantastic. I know he's a little country for some tastes, but that's his forte and it definitely works in places like family rooms and kitchens.

I saw the episode with Laurie's bedroom with the partitions. I thought the HO was a real b*&^h. She just hated everything. If you aren't open to ANYTHING, why go on the show???? Her room looked very nice even if it wasn't what the HO wanted. I thought the room Vern did on that show was awful! Don't like all those dark colors!

Oh my gosh, Fergie, I remember the episode with the moms and daughters so well! I thought Doug had a right to be angry! I can't believe that they would go clubbing then make other people do their homework. They were whiny and awful!
